Tequila Sunrise - Cocktail
It’s the month of love! The perfect month - Just look at your calendar for Feb 2021 and see what I’m talking about. So as a gesture of my immense love for you, I’m sharing my easiest cocktail recipe (which you probably already know) but yeah it’s a gift, so accept it okay? :)
My friends are tired of complaining about the fact that they always leave my house full and intoxicated, and have accepted that visiting me means having a classic cocktail at the beginning of the night and perhaps something more unconventional towards the end.
So I’ll be sharing some of my favourite classic cocktails with you. Starting with this firm favourite - the Tequila Sunrise! It’s such an easy and fun recipe. Easy because it literally has 3 ingredients. Fun because I really love the science experiment feeling I have when I see the colours settle into this sunny summery gradient for which the Tequila Sunrise is widely known and loved. It’s so pretty, isn’t it?
Feel free to multiply the ingredient quantities to suit your number of guests and (if you’re alone) your appetite! :)
Prep Time: 5 mins
yield: 2 glasses
Ingredients:
200 ml Orange juice
100 ml Gold Tequila
60 ml Grenadine
Orange slices (to garnish)
Instructions:
Fill two large glasses with ice
Add 50ml tequila and 100ml orange juice to each
Pour 30ml grenadine syrup over each (about 2tbsp). It will sink to the bottom. Do not stir
Wait a few seconds to see the colour gradient form
Garnish with orange slices and serve
Enjoy!
